General Information

The Abbey of the Brew City Sisters is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing information to at-risk individuals and youth regarding critical health and community issues. Through outreach, education, community fund-raising and entertainment, we provide funding and assistance to organizations in need of financial elevation and public acknowledgement throughout the state of Wisconsin.

We strive to make Wisconsin a better, safer and more equal place to live.

Mission Statement

The Abbey of the Brew City Sisters started in 2008 wanting to bring comfort to the disturbed and disturb the comfort of others, to bring equal rights and a public awareness to Wisconsin. We are part of the Sisters of Perpetual Ingulgence. We are always looking for new places to host fundraisers, donations, and volunteers. Also, we're always looking for new Sisters and Guards. If you are interested in joining our mission or just curious about us, you can always e-mail us at brewcitysisters@yahoo.com. We look forward to hearing from you! Mary meet, mary part, mary meet again!

We are the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, Abbey of the Brew City Sisters, a non profit 501(c)3 organization comprised of men and women dedicated to the support, education, and development of our community

In1979, the Motherhouse in San Francisco announced the reason for our existence. “We are an order of 21st Century nuns dedicated to the promulgation of universal joy and the expiation of stigmatic guilt. Our ministry is one of public manifestation and habitual perpetration. No more guilt!” That simple direction, to bring joy where there is none, and to remove the guilt that keeps you from being your beautiful self, has spawned a worldwide phenomenon. There exists a sister presence on five continents.

The Abbey of the Brew City Sisters continues the mission of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. Over the years we are continuing to grow, but our mission has remained unchanged. We continue to educate the public on safer sex issues, we fight for rights for all and visibility, we fight for women’s issues, the youth of our communities and anti bullying campaigns, and support other community organizations that share our vision.

Abbey of the Brew City Sisters…Our Sistory

Our Sistory begins in 2008, after an encounter Sister Truly Fierce had with Sister Rhoda Kill. It all started when sister Truly was at Club Icon in Kenosha Wisconsin, having a “Big Girl” drink and a music video that had  sisters in it came on the T.V. monitors and Truly said,” I have always loved the sisters and always wondered how I could start a chapter in Wisconsin.” Her friend sitting next to Truly turned to him and said,” Hi I’m Sister Rhoda Kill, L.A. Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.

After talking with Rhoda , Truly reached out to some friends to see if they would be

interested in starting a Wisconsin chapter of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.

With much enthusiasm a group of four friends started laying out the foundation of

what would later become the Abbey of the Brew City Sisters, with the guidance

and mentorship of Dali Do’ Mystique a missionary nun from Los Angeles, California.

The four friends and founding members were Chad Morell - Sister Truly Fierce,

Chad Pratt - Sister Anita Nuther Cocktail, Sue Westover - Guard Ferocia/Sister

Gimm E Sum, and Dave Westover - Guard Faux Mo/ Sister Freeta Ride.

Over the next year the four sisters start laying out the groundwork. They had their

highs and lows. At times their friendships were tested. A lot of paperwork and

requirements had to be met to receive Mission House status by the United Nuns

Priviy Council.  The UNPC is a sub organization of the Sisters of Perpetual

Indulgence to help newly formed mission houses guidance and help them

meet their requirements to become a fully professed house. But through it all it made each sister stronger and ready to face the communities in Wisconsin.

In June of 2008, Sister Truly Fierce makes her first public Manifestation at Pridefest. Later that year in December of 2008, Guard Ferocia, Guard Faux Mo, and Sister Truly Fierce make their second public manifestation at City Council to have an LGBT Community Center in Racine Wisconsin. In 2009, Sister Sexy Angel and Guard War Games, and Guard Rex Uranus join the order of the Brew City Sisters.

Being a new order and the first chapter of Sisters of perpetual Indulgence in Wisconsin , had many people of the community wanting to learn who the sister were and what they were all about and accepting, you also had people who were not so accepting. Sister Gimm E said, “We walked into a bar and someone thought they were in costume so they could rob the place. It brought mistrust and apprehension with others.”

With the next couple of years of hard work and dedication to our communities, more people joined the Brew City Sisters and by 2011, the Abbey of the Brew City Sisters are granted to become a fully professed house by the UNPC.

In June of 2012, the Abbey of the Brew City Sisters have their Exequator Celebration. They are given their black Veils in a ceremony held at Pridefest.

To this date our abbey has grown from its four founding members to thirteen members spanning from Watertown, Germantown, Waukesha, Milwaukee, Racine, and Kenosha and areas in between. A second chapter of Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence in Wisconsin has started and that is in Madison. The Sisters of Perpetual indulgence are making great strides in this great state of Wisconsin, The Land of Cheese!

What all four founding members hope for, for the future of our abbey, is that we will continue to grow, but to also get to know each other better so that we can better serve our community.
